14.11.2022 - Ab morgen hat die Essener Brettspielmesse SPIEL eine dritte Geschäftsführerin: Wie der zur Nürnberger Spielwarenmesse eG gehörende Friedhelm Merz Verlag in Bonn mitteilte, übernimmt Carol Rapp den Posten, um die bisherigen Geschäftsführer Dominique Metzler und Florian Hess zu unterstützen. Der Branche ist Rapp u.a. durch ihre Zeit bei Asmodee bekannt, wo sie nach ihrem Einstieg als Marketing und Business Development Director mehrere Jahre Deutschlandchefin war und dann das internationale Marketing übernahm. Davor wiederum hatte sie als Marketingreferentin für Kosmos gearbeitet. Beim SPIEL-Veranstalter wird sie künftig mitverantwortlich für die Organisation und Weiterentwicklung der Internationalen Spieltage SPIEL sein.

Carol Rapp kommentierte: „Gemeinsam Ziele erreichen und dabei immer Neues lernen, zeichnen meinen Arbeitsstil aus. Ich freue mich sehr auf die neue Position und die damit verbundenen Aufgaben bei der SPIEL. Hier kann ich mein bisheriges Know-how im Spiele- und Spielwarenbereich perfekt einfließen lassen und auch zukunftsorientierte Ideen einbringen.“

Außerdem will der Friedhelm Merz Verlag in den nächsten Wochen auch sein übriges Team erweitern. (th)

As of tomorrow, the Essen-based board game fair SPIEL will have a third managing director: As announced by Friedhelm Merz Verlag in Bonn, which is part of Nuremberg's Spielwarenmesse eG, Carol Rapp will take over the post to support the current managing directors Dominique Metzler and Florian Hess. Rapp is known to the industry, among other things, from her time at Asmodee, where, after joining as marketing and business development director, she had been German CEO for several years, and then took over international marketing. Before that, she had worked as a marketing representative for Kosmos. At the SPIEL organizer, she will be jointly responsible for the event's organization and further development.

Carol Rapp commented: "Achieving goals together and always learning something new are the hallmarks of my working style. I am very much looking forward to the new position and the associated tasks at SPIEL. Here I can perfectly incorporate my previous know-how in the games and toys sector and also contribute future-oriented ideas."

Friedhelm Merz Verlag also plans to expand the rest of its team in the coming weeks.
