While SPIEL.digital with its flood of new releases is behind us, the first publishers are already looking ahead to the upcoming year. Kosmos has now announced the first titles to be released in spring '21. And of course, how could it be otherwise with this amount of success: The Crew will be continued. After winning "Kennerspiel des Jahres", Deutscher Spielepreis, the "À la carte" card game award and the Dutch game of the year, it will get a second season (as they say today). However, there won't just be a booklet with 50 new missions somewhere out there in the depths of space; no, this time it goes the other way: into the depths of the oceans. Mission Tiefsee (mission deep sea) is the name of the sequel to the cooperative trick game by designer Thomas Sing, who also came up with the tasks in the new box.

"In this game you are on the trail of a great secret together", Kosmos teasers the second part on Instagram. Which wouldn't be very exciting if the challenges roughly remained the same and only the text had been editorially changed from space to ocean. But that is not how it's going to be. Because according to the publisher, it is "a new independent game by Thomas Sing with new mechanisms"! For all those who haven't yet advanced to Mission 50 in space and completed the spielbox supplement's flight to the ISS: Now is the right time to bring the space trip to a close and then plunge into the next adventure in spring.

Kosmos also announced another release for friends of the big family of werewolf games: Jäger der Nacht (Shadow Hunters). Although it's not quite a new release, because Yasutaka Ikeda's creation had already been published by Kosmos before, in 2010. Remember? At that time, the title was already called Jäger der Nacht, but on the box a werewolf howled at the full moon in the night-violet sky in front of a ghostly castle. Regarding the game itself Kosmos writes: "Is there a werewolf sitting next to you? Perhaps a vampire opposite? And next to it a human? In this smart team game, you have to find out who is playing with you and who is playing against you. At first, none of you know who has what role and who is pursuing what goal. The werewolves win as soon as all vampires have been eliminated. The vampires win as soon as all werewolves are eliminated. The humans stand in between and pursue their own goals. Can you find kindred spirits, strengthen your own group and defeat the enemy creatures?"

Not surprisingly, the Exit series continues as well. In an interview with spielbox, Inka and Markus Brand had already revealed they have a lot of work to do to get it off the ground, and eleven new Exits are planned for 2021, among them the classic cases. The game for beginners will be called Das verfluchte Labyrinth (the cursed labyrinth), the more advanced case Die Entführung in Fortune City (the abduction in Fortune City). But that's not all, another case with puzzles is coming, under the name Das dunkle Schloss (the dark castle). Its level: beginners. There are also two more books: Der rätselhafte Bankraub (the puzzling bank robbery) is aimed at children ages eight and up. Ebene 6 (level 6) requires at least 14 year-olds, the age group of the "advanced" range.

On top of that, Kosmos also announced a children's game: In Raffi Raffzahn "the stolen jewels must be brought back to the princess! For this Raffi Raffzahn makes his way through the forest to the mysterious castle of the magician. But beware: the little dragon runs the risk of being turned into a piggy on every field. A magical-magnetic memo game with a high fun factor!" It was designed by Gunter Baars.
