29.04.2024 - Die diesjährige SPIEL DOCH! in Dortmund vom 26. bis 28. April konnte auch 2024 wieder wachsen. Ca. 15.800 Besucher (2023: 14.000) besuchten an diesem Wochenende die Brett- und Kartenspielmesse auf dem Gelände der Messe Dortmund. Damit steht fest: Das Konzept der SPIEL DOCH!, allen Besuchern entspanntes Spielen zu ermöglichen und besonders Familien anzusprechen, ist voll aufgegangen. Nicht zuletzt deshalb waren auch mehr als 170 Aussteller und Marken auf der Messe vertreten, darunter neben den großen und kleinen Verlagen auch Autoren, Flohmärkte, Künstler und Vereine.
Vor allem am Samstag platzte die große Halle 4 angesichts des Ansturms zeitweise wieder fast aus allen Nähten. Die ohnehin schon große Spielfläche wurde daher am Samstag und auch für Sonntag noch einmal kurzfristig um Tische und Stühle erweitert, damit auch jeder einen Platz zum Spielen finden konnte. Am Ende standen über 660 Plätze zur Verfügung (zusätzlich zu den Spieltischen der Verlage), die vor allem am Samstagmittag restlos besetzt waren.
Deutlich zugenommen hat – wie erhofft - die Anzahl der Familien unter den Besuchern. Diese nutzten das Angebot der SPIEL DOCH! gerade am Samstag und Sonntag. Die Besucher lobten die entspannte Atmosphäre mit den breiten Gängen ohne große Staus und reichlich Spielfläche sowie die Vielfalt an Ausstellern. Fest steht daher, dass die Fläche im nächsten Jahr wieder erweitert wird.
2025 findet die nächste SPIEL DOCH! in Dortmund vom 28. bis 30.3.2025 statt. Schon am 15. und 16. Juni dieses Jahres läuft die SPIEL DOCH! am Bodensee in Friedrichshafen.

This year's SPIEL DOCH! in Dortmund from April 26 to 28 managed to grow once again: Around 15,800 visitors (2023: 14,000) attended the board and card game fair at the Dortmund Exhibition Center this weekend. One thing is certain: SPIEL DOCH!'s concept of enabling everyone to play in a relaxed atmosphere and appealing to families in particular was a complete success. This was one of the reasons why more than 170 exhibitors and brands were represented at the fair, including authors, flea markets, artists and clubs in addition to large and small publishers.
On Saturday in particular, the large Hall 4 was almost bursting at the seams at times. Tables and chairs were therefore added to the already large playing area on Saturday and again on Sunday at short notice so that everyone could find a place to play. In the end, there were over 660 spots available (in addition to the publishers' tables), which were fully occupied, especially on Saturday lunchtime.
As hoped, the number of families among the visitors increased significantly. They took advantage of the SPIEL DOCH! offer especially on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors praised the relaxed atmosphere with wide aisles, without major congestions and with plenty of playing space as well as the variety of exhibitors. Therefore the square footage will definitely be expanded again next year.
In 2025, the next SPIEL DOCH! will take place in Dortmund from March 28 to 30, 2025. Already on June 15 and 16 of this year, SPIEL DOCH! am Bodensee will be held in Friedrichshafen.
