07.09.2023 - Der Schweizer Spielwaren- und Spielevertrieb Carletto mit deutscher Niederlassung in Nürnberg erweitert seinen Katalog diesen Herbst um mehrere noch junge Spieleverlage. Zur Eigenmarke Game Factory, 100 Pics und BrainBox kommt nun das französische Label Hot Macacos, bekannt u.a. für die Cortex-Reihe und schnelle Spiele für die ganze Familie. Die Neuheit Tornaloco ist ein Reaktions- und Kartenanordnungsspiel mit Spezialkarten und besonderen Regeln für verschiedene Schwierigkeitsgrade. Wok’Up – The Kung Food Game dreht sich als Reaktions- und Wahrnehmungsspiel um möglichst fix zubereitete Rezepte.
Cosmoludo heißt ein ebenfalls französischer Spezialist für abstrakte Strategiespiele für zwei, die trotz einfacher Regeln viele taktische Möglichkeiten bieten. Bei Bruno Cathalas Kamon gilt es, die beiden Enden des Spielbretts mit Farben und Symbolen logisch zu verbinden, während man Fallen meidet. In Claude Leroys Hokito müssen vorausschauend Steine und Türme bewegt werden, wobei man einander Wege verbauen und Türme klauen darf.
Als dritter Carletto-Neuzugang stößt der im Pandemie-Lockdown gegründete Verlag Format Games des britischen Moderators und Autors Matt Edmondson hinzu, dessen Entwicklungen sich auch für größere Runden und Partys eignen. Eine davon nennt sich Wheels vs Doors, wo schräge Fragen diskutiert werden wie die titelgebende, ob es auf der Welt mehr Räder oder Türen gibt. Beim Kartenspiel Eierklatsch, das Edmondson gemeinsam mit seiner Tochter erfand, wollen Kinder ab drei Jahren so schnell wie möglich die farbigen Eier von Regenbogenvögeln finden und lernen nebenbei etwas übers Farbenmischen. Swiss toy and games distributor Carletto, with a German subsidiary in Nuremberg, is expanding its catalog this fall to include several relatively young publishers. Carletto's own brand Game Factory, 100 Pics and BrainBox are now joined by the French label Hot Macacos, known among other things for the Cortex series and fast games for the whole family. The new release Tornaloco is a reaction and card arrangement game with special cards and rules for various levels of difficulty. Wok'Up - The Kung Food Game, a reaction and perception game, revolves around recipes prepared as quickly as possible.
Cosmoludo is a - likewise French - specialist for abstract strategy games for two, which offer many tactical possibilities despite simple rules. The goal of Bruno Cathala's Kamon is to logically connect the two ends of the board with colors and symbols while avoiding traps. In Claude Leroy's Hokito, players have to move stones and towers with foresight, while blocking each other's paths and stealing towers.
Carletto's third new addition is Format Games, founded during the pandemic's lockdowns by British radio / TV host and game designer Matt Edmondson, whose developments are also suitable for larger rounds and parties. One is called Wheels vs Doors, where quirky questions are discussed such as the titular one about whether there are more wheels or doors in the world. In the card game Egg Slam (Eierklatsch) which Edmondson invented together with his daughter, children aged three and up want to find the colored eggs of rainbow birds, learning something about color mixing along the way.
