31.05.2023 - Neben Autorinnen und Autoren werden auf der Spieleschachtel oft auch die Künstler/innen genannt, die für das grafische Design verantwortlich zeichnen. Das hat auch seinen Grund, denn Illustrationen können nicht nur ein Augenschmaus sein, sondern einen bedeutenden Teil dazu beitragen, dass ein Spiel funktioniert. Schon seit 2009 prämiert eine Fachjury der Leipziger Verbrauchermesse modell-hobby-spiel die gelungensten Arbeiten des Jahres mit dem Graf Ludo, für den jetzt die zwölf Titel der Auswahlliste bekannt gegeben wurden. Stimmberechtigt sind außerdem die rund 7.000 Mitglieder des „Spielernetzwerks“ des Onlinehändlers Spiele-Offensive.de.
In die Kategorie "Schönste Kinderspielgrafik" haben es diesmal folgende Illustrator/innen geschafft: Anita Barry mit Allergie (Autorin: Anita Barry / Verlag: Allergie, ein Kinderspiel), Stefanie Reich mit Beethupferl (Bernhard Weber / Zoch), Yann Thomas mit DreamQuest (Fabien Vincourt / Space Cow), Hami mit Fish & Katz (Benjamin Leung / HeidelBär Games), Marie-Anne Bonneterre mit dem gerade zum "Kinderspiel des Jahres" nominierten Gigamon (Karim Aouidad, Johann Roussel / Mirakulus), und Nicole Pustelny mit Summsalabim (Karin Hetling / Gaia Games).
Sechs weitere Kreative machen die Kategorie "Schönste Familienspielgrafik" unter sich aus: Katy Grierson mit Animal Kingdoms (Autor: Steven Aramini / Verlag: Game Factory), Shawna J.C. Tenney mit Die Tiere vom Ahorntal (Roberta Taylor / Board Game Circus), Wenyi Geng mit Evergreen (Hjalmar Hach / HeidelBär Games, Horrible Guild), Tristam Rossin mit In aller Ruhe (James Emmerson / Board Game Hub), Pierre-Yves Gallard und Lucien Derainne mit Sea, Salt & Paper (Bruno Cathala, Théo Riviére / MM-Spiele) sowie Felix Wermke mit 80 Days (Emanuele Briano / Piatnik).
Ende Juli lichtet sich das Teilnehmerfeld weiter mit der Nominierung von insgesamt sechs Spielen, die beiden Gewinner präsentiert schließlich am 20.8. die Online-Expo der Spiele-Offensive.de. Auf der modell-hobby-spiel am 29.9.-1.10. lassen sich alle Nominierten und Sieger dann vor Ort in Leipzig ausprobieren. (th)

At the end of July, the field of participants will be further thinned out with the nomination of a total of six games, and the two winners will be presented at the online expo of Spiele-Offensive.de on August 20. During modell-hobby-spiel on September 29 - October 1, all nominees and winners can be tried out on site in Leipzig.
